Luxury Spas in Miami: 5 Worth Knowing for the Connoisseur

The short answerAcqualina Spa, The Standard Spa, Carillon, the Four Seasons Surf Club spa and Tierra Santa Healing House each offer a different luxury experience. Many accept non-guests through treatments, day passes or minimum spends, so call ahead and ask what is included before you book.

Key takeaways

Miami takes its spas seriously. Many of the city's finest sit inside beachfront hotels, with hydrotherapy circuits, steam rooms and treatments built around sea water, hammams and sound. For a connoisseur, the question is not whether there is a good spa, but which one suits the occasion.

This guide covers luxury spas in Miami and Miami Beach: five worth knowing, what makes each different, how access and pricing work for non-guests, and what to know before you book. It draws on published guides, and we name the source for every figure.

Which luxury spas in Miami are worth knowing?

We have not ranked Miami's spas, and we have not tested them. These five appear in at least two of the independent guides we read, have well-documented facilities, and each offers a different kind of experience. Others also qualify, and we list some below.

Acqualina Spa: for sea-water therapies and a couples suite

Acqualina Spa sits inside Acqualina Resort & Residences on the Beach in Sunny Isles Beach. Miami and Beaches describes thalassotherapy (treatments using sea water and sea products), phytotherapy (plant extracts), aromatherapy and hydrotherapy, and says massages and facials can be done in your room. Time Out lists a thermal circuit with a cold plunge, Finnish sauna and crystal steam room, plus a Royal Spa Suite for couples.

Miami and Beaches also says the spa has held a Forbes Five-Star rating for more than a decade. Prices were not listed in the guides, so ask the spa.

The Standard Spa: for hydrotherapy by the bay

The Standard Spa, on Belle Isle, is described as an adults-only hydrotherapy playground overlooking Biscayne Bay. Its facilities include a Turkish-style hammam, aroma steam room, hemlock sauna, ice room, Roman waterfall hot tub, arctic plunge and an infinity pool.

Time Out reports that non-guests must spend at least $125 on spa treatments for pool and hydrotherapy access on weekdays, and $250 on weekends, while hotel guests get free access. Check the spa's current policy before you go.

Carillon Miami Wellness Resort: for a full day

The Spa at Carillon is described as the largest spa in North Beach. Miami and Beaches lists thermal and cryo (cold) treatments and a hydrotherapy circuit, and says the resort also offers 2 to 4 day wellness retreats. Time Out adds a cabana pool, infrared fitness studio and meditation pod.

It is also one of the easiest to try without staying overnight. Time Out reported day passes starting at $179 on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) and $199 on weekends, including complimentary valet. Prices change, so confirm before booking.

The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club: for a quiet, polished visit

This spa in Surfside offers a steam room, sauna and Turkish hammam, available with any treatment, according to Miami and Beaches. The Inner Harmony massage ends with a tuning fork ceremony, and guests leave electronic devices at the front desk. That is a useful signal of the pace: it is built for switching off.

Tierra Santa Healing House: for a hammam and ritual treatments

Tierra Santa Healing House, at the Faena Hotel in Miami Beach, is described by Time Out as one of the East Coast's largest hammams, with body-healing rituals developed with a shaman. It asks guests to arrive early and complete an extensive intake form. Miami and Beaches names its Tree of Life treatment, which uses sound healing.

What else deserves a look?

Several other spas appeared in multiple guides and suit different needs.

Which Miami spa is best for couples?

Several guides point to couples options. Acqualina has a Royal Spa Suite for couples, St. Regis Bal Harbour offers a Four Elements Couples Journey, and Miami and Beaches praises K'alma Spa at Hotel Victor in South Beach for its couples massages. We have not tried any of them, so ask each spa about room layout, timing and whether a couple's session is private.

How much does a spa day cost in Miami?

There is no single price, because spas charge by treatment, day pass or minimum spend. From the figures above:

Treatments in hotel spas are priced separately, and the guides we read did not list them. Always ask for the current menu.

What is Miami Spa Months?

Miami Spa Months is a summer promotion in which participating spas offer discounted treatments. Miami and Beaches describes it as running in July and August, with treatments at $109, $159 or $199, described as 40 percent off regular prices. The 2026 edition ran through August, according to Local 10. Dates and prices change each year, so check Miami and Beaches in early summer.

Can non-guests visit a hotel spa?

Often, yes, but the rules differ. Some spas accept non-guests who book a treatment. Some sell day passes. Some require a minimum spend for access to wet areas, and some reserve facilities for hotel guests on busy days. The guides we read did not state non-guest rules for several of these spas, so call before you travel and ask three things: whether non-guests can book, what the pass or minimum spend is, and which facilities the booking includes.

How early should you book and arrive?

Book early, especially if you want a particular therapist or treatment. ResortPass advises securing your spot early and calling ahead. St. Regis Bal Harbour recommends arriving at least 30 minutes before your treatment, and Tierra Santa asks you to arrive early to complete an intake form. Weekends and holidays fill first.

Should you tip at a spa?

Check your bill first. Some resorts add a service charge. One spa manager at a California resort said it adds a 20 percent charge, that most of it goes to the therapists and attendants, and that extra tipping is welcome but neither mandatory nor expected. Practices vary by spa, so ask the front desk whether a service charge is included before you add a gratuity.

What should you wear and bring?

Most spas provide robes, slippers and lockers. Bring swimwear for hydrotherapy areas, a light cover-up and something comfortable for the ride home. Leave valuables in the room, and expect to hand over your phone at a few spas, such as the Four Seasons Surf Club. Ask about age limits as well: The Standard Spa is adults-only.
